So, last night I managed to catch the U2/Green Day collaboration on ESPN. I did miss part of "September," but I saw the rest of the medley (WMUWSE became The Saints are Coming became Beautiful Day). It was really pretty cool, despite the sheer strangeness of seeing those two bands together, and the fact that the stadium's sound system really kind of blew. But the energy was good, and Edge kicked ass (as always), and my mom thought Billie Joe was a girl (BWAHAHA!), and Bono looked really good with his new buzzcut once the oddness of that wore off, and I just really enjoyed having the veryvery different bassists and drummers side-by-side. And then at the end, Edge and Billie Joe put their arms around each other, and I was killed by happy.
So. Really, a good night, despite spending the rest of the day feeling like worn-out crap.
I put periods in weird places sometimes, don't I? I've long been aware of this, but sometimes it strikes me more than others. But this is my blog, and I don't really have to worry about narrative, because its an open diary and not a fucking story, and so I will type the same way that I speak. Which is apparently both choppy, and run-on. Yay.
Speaking of yay! RestoreDoll.com is having a sale till the end of the month -- or, more accurately, existing customers were sent a code, good for 10% off till the end of the month -- so, I got the Five Large Format Skein Special. *does a little jig* As I understand it, one large skein is roughly equivalent to 2 normals, when used on smaller dolls (they were technically designed for larger, American Girl-type dolls). So, the 5-large special, is kind of like getting the 10-normal special, for $2 cheaper.
I know, real hard choice, right? So, I got hair for my Drow, and then a bunch of colors for my attempts at custom Jems: azure for Aja, sapphire for Stormer, a really pretty green that isn't really like her hair at all but I plan to use for Pizzazz anyway, and a custom pink blend that I hope will turn out very Jem-like, indeed.
I know, I know, I'm awful, I haven't even gotten around to the styling and make-up for Shana and Kimber. I'm great at starting projects, and then they just stall indefinitely. But honestly, if I have to boil a pot of water to set the hair, anyway...I'd really rather get as many done at once as I can. Which admittedly, doesn't mean they'll actually get done. It just means I have a legitimate reason for procrastinating.

So, apparently my pirate name is Jolly Rose. Taking the "jolly" as it would be in "jolly roger" (ie, death head grin), I'm really pretty okay with that. Its kind of pretty and menacing all at once.
Man, V is not finding the backdoor to the pantry AT ALL. Which is especially vexing, since my primary accessed the door on the first try. Maybe its because my primary's current run is a magical class, and the pantry is like, their low-level stomping ground?
WOO! Finally. *shimmies a little in place*
And for everyone who is totally confused, the last two paragraphs were about Kingdom of Loathing.
And this paragraph is about how hungry I am. Maybe I'll go finish off the chicken salad....

Usually, I am not very girly. I don't like shopping, I hate makeup, my hair is ubershort because honestly, I just can't be assed to do anything with it. And shoes? Forget it, man. There is no godly reason for a human being to ever have more than six pairs at a time, and I'm being generous with that number.
But these. Oh. They make all my little girly bits sit up and beg. They don't come in my size, and I doubt I could ever walk in a heel like that, anyway, but oh how I love them.
If I had sex, I would totally give it up for those boots.

Do you think Brad Pitt realizes what an egotistical asshat this makes him look like? Like the people who are against it are suddenly going to stand up and go "Oh no, Schmuck McDouchebag refuses to wed Sexy O'Philanthropist until we approve gay marriage! This changes my entire belief system!" Excuse my flashback, but as if.

Y'know, I didn't really care when Ashlee Simpson got her nose job (I think she looks cute with both noses). And I never really understood the criticism that it somehow made her look more like Jessica (because...really, have you SEEN Jessica's profile? She does not have the perfect little slope that Ashlee paid for, she has a smaller version of Ashlee's original hook).
But this new photoshoot makes me sad, because apparently she stopped being adorable and flawed and goofy, and turned into Citrus Princess Barbie.
And, hey, randomly...why is Suri Cruise Asian?

Having listened to the preview, I think that I will not be pre-ordering FSLS. I'm thinking I'll get it someplace cheap. Or used. Or both.
Just. Eh. Not feeling it. But needs must support my boys, so.
Am tired, and kind of hungry. I think that I will make my bed, and have a soda and some pb crackers, and play until I have digested enough to sleep. Alright. Sounds like a plan.
