Four out of five posts at my MySpace are about how much I hate MySpace. And yet none of them even begin to touch on just how much I really fucking hate that place.

Unfortunately, its like, the ONLY way to keep track of Christy Carlson Romano. Feh.

My GBA SP skin arrived from DecalGirl.com today. I like it, its way more interesting than having it all "flame." I'm really, really tempted to get one for my GameCube, now.

I wonder how well flocking works on a doll body. My brain is full of dueling customs and SW thoughts lately, which lead to me remembering my Jedi OFC, and how I had once had ideas/plans/vague-and-misty-dreams of dolling her, and it sort of drifted off. But that was before I knew how to reroot, or where to get hair, and I think part of it was also that, um. She was kinda supposed to have fur. Like, Nightcrawler-fur, not Beast-fur. And not blue. But RD also carries reflocking kits for old Kens, and I think I remember one of the colors being pretty damn close to the color I imagined her fur, and. I wonder if it would work....

So, the bestest has asked what I want for Christmas. My answer? For there to be an Aayla Secura 12-inch.

Honestly, I have no idea. I mean, okay, I'd really like a computer, but I'm not going to ask anyone for that, its too expensive. And my mother told me she was going to pre-order Asajj, and make it a birthday present for next year, since the actual release date is very close to my birthday.

So...that really kind of takes care of the stuff I really want. Except for Aayla, who I'm absolutely crazy about, and they don't make, and I won't even pretend I could make a custom of her. One word: Twilek. Yeah.

So, I seem to be going ahead with my sudden flash of "omgcustomponies!" Because I am utterly incapable of resisting custom ANYTHING, apparently, and stupid crafty projects are good for distracting me from my gloom.

Admittedly, not so good yesterday, when I was messing with some clay pieces and listening to Green Day, and suddenly found myself crying. During "She's a Rebel," no less, which doesn't really even make sense. WMUWSE, sure, there's dead daddies, but SAR? Weh?

Anyway. Ponies. So, yeah, Micromark offers stuff to make your own decals, and even offers a trial kit, which I totally ordered. And there's a pretty white pony on eBay that I'm bidding on, and if I win, I will then order her new hair from DH, and see if Goo Gone really does get off old symbols as rumored. And then I will start the very not-fun prospect of getting off her head so that I can rehair her. If nothing else, it should go faster than rerooting dolls.

And yes, there is a small part of me that hopes that I could maybe make some small amount of money doing things like this because it would be really nice to find something that I can stand doing, AND get paid for. And writing doesn't count, because I've had writer's block for like, three years, and never got paid for it even when I didn't.

So, yeah. Mostly I just want a Pluto pony.

Aaaaaand we're depressed. AWESOME. *sighs* At least we traditionally avoid Black Friday like the plague, so I don't have to go anywhere and suffer humans.

Altho I did take advantage of DecalGirl's sale, and ordered the GBA SP skin I've had my eye on. Figured I'd hold off on the other, larger skins until I at least know if I like them.

I know. I'm actually making sense, its crazy.

I really want to buy things. Which is normal for me when I'm down. But the way I'm currently feeling, I'll also be all angsty and blue about it if I do buy, so. Yeah, trying to avoid it for now.

I might go troll eBay for a bit anyway, tho. Maybe that'll bore me into finding something more constructive to do.

Found a new place to buy doll hair. I wasn't really looking for a new place, to be honest, I just kind of stumbled on it. And mostly, I'm inclined to keep using RD, but this place also has pre-curled hair, which is interesting, and some really fabulous MLP colors (Deadly Poison is giving me custom Setsuna pony fantasies). I kinda wish I'd seen this place before I got my drow's hair, tho, because they actually have a pure white. At least in the MLP/nylon section, I haven't gotten to their saran selection yet.

I think its weird that DH (and this MLP customs site linked from it) keep saying saran has a waxy feel. I have never noticed a waxy feel to the hair I got from RD. Silky, yes, but waxy? Weh? Maybe its because RD sells Saran Katsilk? Maybe there are different kinds of saran. I don't know, I'm just an addicted newbie, here.

Oh, man. My inner Star Wars fangirl is now a puddle of want. How cool is the Asajj Ventress 12-inch? Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayumn. Must. Not. Look. For. Aayla. 12-inch. Must. Be. Strong.

Oh, thank god. They don't have one. *phew* Now if only my fangirl bits could whimpering and babbling about how awesome Asajj would look in one of those cases I have downstairs. Oooh. Must stop imagining. Cannot buy.

But I can email a link to the maternal unit for Christmas consideration. Mmm, yes. Yeeeesssssss. We wants it, precioussssssssssss....

*blinks* I'm sorry, what was I talking about?

Ooooh, DG is having a sale Friday. Which means I will probably be ordering a GBA skin, and possibly a GC skin. Or possibly just spend the day talking myself back and forth, so that I don't do anything.

Mom has decided not to go to the brother's tomorrow, after all, as it is really cold out and expected to rain, and oh yeah, the brother is not actually having Thanksgiving this year. He and Jen are going to Jen's parents' instead, which is fine, except Mom has no idea how to get there, so she'd have to ride with them from there house, and she was really only interested in seeing them, anyways. Of course, she's not telling him she's not coming until tomorrow, in hopes it will cut down on his attempts to bully her into coming, anyway. Because apparently, she is thirteen, and he is, in fact, the parent.

And, yeah, okay, he is like, the biggest bully EVER, and the most infuriating part is that he doesn't even know he's downing it, he thinks he's being funny and that everyone's enjoying it. Why? Because on top of the bully thing, he's also an oblivious asshat. Yay.

But still, man. At 68, a body should be able to stand up to people. Particularly people who were once parasites in one's womb.

Today is my best friend's birthday. YAY! Happy birthday, beloved!

There's been Wii ads on the TV lately. I'm thinking more and more that they just did not think that system through. I mean, I understand what they were trying to do, right, they wanted you to be engaged, to really interact with the games...to actually get the gamer off their ass and get them to move a bit, while, and this is the important bit for a company, still using their product. The problem is, that if a game only lasts for an hour or so, that's a short game. Most games have a play time of several hours, if not days. Who the fuck wants to stand and wave your arms around frantically for the 60 or so hours it takes to play, say, an RPG? And, yes, I know, you generally don't play those 60 hours consecutively, but see, a good RPG is engaging, and can easily suck away an entire afternoon without you noticing. Which is why its a sit-down sport.

I'm not even going to start on the stupid kids who will think being good at Wii-swordplay is the same as being good at real-swordplay, and then get their fool arm sliced off. PEOPLE ARE STUPID, NINTENDO. THAT'S WHY HAIRDRYERS COME WITH "DO NOT USE IN SHOWER" LABELS.

So. Yeah. Anyway. Attempting to find a DS cheap on eBay? Not so easy. Of course, I have a different idea of cheap than most people. And its made worse by the fact that I have only recently come to actually be interested in the damn thing, and so am not terribly willing to pay anything for it at all. And I'm color-picky. Which is dumb, with all the skins available at Decal Girl, but there you have it.

Frighteningly? I actually kind of like the pale pink one. o.O O.O O.o

*blinks* Two things sold already. The people even paid. I mean, cool, yay, money, but. I only listed them the other day. Weh?

Of course, now we enter the difficult period for me: not spending my entire resulting Paypal credit immediately. This is made doubly hard by the fact that were things I specifically wanted, and I only got around to listing anything because I wanted to be able to buy them. But still. It'd be nice to have money for a little, even if it only exists in the ether.

Saw JC on Ghost Whisperer last night. He looked pretty good, did an alright job. He was especially adorable at the end, pretending to play bass guitar. Yes, I am a total dork, thank you for noticing.

I need to check on the doll boots I'm dying; see how the color's taking. And turn over the purses, so the other side can get color. Of course, if they just sank like the boots did, instead of floating, I wouldn't have to worry about it.

I wonder if I can make Starfire's armbands from clay. Like, mold them on the doll's arms, then cut them into sections to bake, and then glue them back together on her arms. Obviously, just painting them on would be far easier, but the clay would probably look better. Well. If I did it right, anyway.

*blinks* Well. Looks like parts of my brain have already decided I'm going to be doing a friend for Raven. Lovely.

Whee! Look at me! I actually listed stuff! *twirls* Now we get to sit and watch as no one buys anything, ever. Feh.

I miss getting to talk to Glory. And I just plain miss Amelia, all around.

I'm looking at wigs as an alternate to rerooting, as I have one Barbie where the plug holes just kind of deteriorated, leaving her with over-sized holes in some places, and gashes in others. Luckily, I didn't like her much, anyway, so it doesn't matter too much, but the poor thing needs something on her head. I'm currently leaning towards "Pinky" in the black/purple. No real reason, I just think its pretty.

Dude, I would totally love to get Tonner's Wonder Woman doll for Amelia. And, okay, I'm a little smitten with the Supergirl, myself. But, yeah, $125 apiece. That's just. No. Just no.

Some girl posted in the Charmed Ones comm, wanting people to answer some questions re: the sisters' powers. In her own journal. Couldn't even be bothered to crosspost, the little...ugh. AND THEN. When someone was actually nice enough to -- and, the chica who answered really had well thought-out, articulate, multi-part answers -- she's all, "what? do it again, I don't understand." Bitch. STUPID bitch, even. This is why I don't reply to posts like that, even when I know the answers. Being nice just invites people to stab you in the brain.

So many things I should be doing. You'll notice I'm not doing a damn one of them.

I want Ruby Minis. Not sure why.

So. Ordered the maternal unit's birthday present. No idea what to get her for Christmas. No idea what to get the beloved for birthday or Christmas. Ordered a DVD set for the brother. And there's a necklace coming that I like a lot, but which may go to the sister, as it may be a bit much, and she's more...something than me. Free? Tacky? Likely to dress up at all, ever? Something.

No word back yet on the status of my Utena DVDs. The nice lady said it could be a couple weeks before they hear back from the shipping department, so I'm not shocked, its just. Deep Discount DVD is doing their 20% sale, but its only till the 18th, and they only do it, like twice a year, and if I have to reorder the Black Rose Saga, I would like to just go ahead and do that, y'know? From someplace that is not Wherehouse.

....that makes it sound like I repeatedly have trouble with them, and I don't, really, just this time. And there was that broken hinge on my Queen boxset I got from them. But mostly, its a decent place. And Emily in customer service is very nice, and very prompt in replying, so yay.

I really need to sell stuff on eBay. Both to have money, and to just plain get rid of it. I just really really don't want to.

People need to get up soon, because I am starving. Of course, the best way to get someone up, is to actually go get something to eat. But I don't want to do that, because Mom's had a yen for potato pancakes, and despite years of making fun of me for not wanting to do stuff like that alone, she won't go to Perkins by her lonesome and have some. So instead I'm going to sit here and be hungry and send hateful "wake up!" thoughts in her direction.

In other, more (less?) interesting news, Faded Skies actually has a new layout up. The old one had been up for three years. THREE YEARS. And I didn't even particularly like it. Ugh. I'm hoping maybe this implies a trend towards me actually having layout ideas. And actually finishing them.

It probably doesn't.

I finished The Third Age yesterday. Battling Sauron was a bitch. Especially since Aragorn left us the instant before the battle began, the big thieving pussy. And then Sauron kept casting Paralyzing the Light eight million times in a row, which disabled our magic, thus rendering Idrial damn near useless, and then kept throwing Darkest Fear at Berethor, making him COMPLETELY useless. Which meant Morwen the only one could really do anything, and mostly what she did was die. Thank god for Aura of the Valar, and the single turn (turned double turn with Frenzy!) that Idrial had between resurrection and being rendered magicless again.

Part of me wants to play it again, simply because I took a very large break in playing sometime during the first disk, and as a result don't really remember it much at all. What stops me is mostly that I do remember fighting the Balrog, and that sucked a couple different kinds of ass.

Maybe one of these days I'll get around to finishing Tales of Symphonia. I love it a lot, I just got really sick of leveling up. I'm not a power leveler, I just can't stand to do it. I'm more the "scrape through the major battles by the skin of my teeth" type. Which tends to vex power levelers, for some reason.

*sighs* If Mom's not up by 9:30, I'm fucking finding something to eat. I'm HUNGRY.

Man, the things I do for 50 points from MyPoints. I swear, Gather is like they took MySpace, made it about twice as confusing, and then upped the pretentious factor by a hundred. On the upside, they have totally eliminated the teenie factor, and that's always good.

But honestly? I am so not grown-up enough for that place. Look at me, I talk about boybands and pop princesses, and rerooting Barbie dolls, and video games. My last post was about watching an interview with a naked blonde. Who has sex on film. For a living.

....probably a pretty good living, actually. If I had her legs and her boob job, I would totally have sex on film for a living, too. And probably spend the rest of my time dancing in front of a mirror.

I think I need to stop posting when I'm ass-tired, y'all.

I watched "Katie Morgan: Porn Star Revealed" on HBO last night. I. Really have no idea why, since prior to watching it, I had no idea who she was, and they had a tendecy to cut to brief, but much-louder-than-the-rest-of-the-show clips from her movies. Yeah. She's a squealer, apparently.

On the other hand, she was pretty fucking cute, and she spent the whole interview naked on a stool, so maybe I have an idea why I watched, after all.

And in news that does not involve naked blondes beaming...I am finally getting Michael Buble's Christmas EP. For a decent price, even. I'm very pleased about it, and very very impatient for it to arrive. Which, since I only bought it yesterday morning, is gonna be a few days. But still. Buble! EEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

Alright. Fine. I GIVE, OKAY? I would actually kind of like a DS. I like the whole "Brain Age" thing, or...whateverthefuck its called. Look, I'm ass-tired and reading Clex fic, my brain is basically soup. The point is -- I would totally sit and play it, and actually probably not be annoyed by the dual screens. Are you happy now, Nintendo? Get the fuck off my lawn, already.

Its kind of a moot point, anyway, because if even had $130, I would totally spend it on something else. And we will not even the discuss the $340 they want for the limited edition FF3 version. That's a third of the custom HP slimline that I lust for. A FUCKING THIRD. AND ITS NOT EVEN A SHADE OF BLUE.

And on a completely unrelated note, the look on Asshat's face when he gets the text message telling him that his free ride is over and oh, yeah, Brit's hot again IS THE BEST THING EVER. It will never not be awesome, folks.

All I want for Christmas is for Angie to dump Brad for Brit, and the two of them to release 812384313135434688413138413 sextapes. Dear God and Santa, pleaseandthankyou! adoringly, Catt. PS: meloveyoulongtimenocharge!

Personally? I think Cleolinda said it best when she said:

Tons of people who aren't even Britney fans have mentioned feeling inexplicable glee at the news, which I can explain thusly: it's not that we necessarily like Britney. Some of us do, to be sure. No, it's that we all, as a planet and a people, regardless of race, religion, or creed, loathe Kevin Federline, and thus we all are crying out as if with one voice: "AHAHAHA! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

*snicker* That was pretty much my reaction to hearing about the divorce, too. With the possible exception of a couple extra HA's.

In other news, I am greatly tired, and need to just grow a brain and go to bed, already. Also, I really need to list stuff on eBay. Really, really. Also also...thinger.

Nicholas Sparks has a way with heartstrings. In Dear John, he returns to his native North Carolina, where John Tyree is a wayward young man who looks for direction by enlisting in the army. Service changes him, and while home on leave he unexpectedly falls in love with Savannah Curtis, a woman who seems to have everything he lacks. Their developing relationship is cut short by the events of 9/11, when John's sense of duty overrides his personal desires. Away from the woman he loves, he receives the letter every soldier dreads: It begins, "Dear John."

But...all the letters he gets would begin that way. The entire "Dear John" term loses all meaning, because every letter would have to technically be a "Dear John" BECAUSE THAT'S HIS NAME. So much pain...stupid author...killing brain....

What American accent do you have?
Your Result: The Midland

"You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas.
