So, last night I managed to catch the U2/Green Day collaboration on ESPN. I did miss part of “September,” but I saw the rest of the medley (WMUWSE became The Saints are Coming became Beautiful Day). It was really pretty cool, despite the sheer strangeness of seeing those two bands together, and the fact that the stadium’s sound system really kind of blew. But the energy was good, and Edge kicked ass (as always), and my mom thought Billie Joe was a girl (BWAHAHA!), and Bono looked really good with his new buzzcut once the oddness of that wore off, and I just really enjoyed having the veryvery different bassists and drummers side-by-side. And then at the end, Edge and Billie Joe put their arms around each other, and I was killed by happy.

So. Really, a good night, despite spending the rest of the day feeling like worn-out crap.

I put periods in weird places sometimes, don’t I? I’ve long been aware of this, but sometimes it strikes me more than others. But this is my blog, and I don’t really have to worry about narrative, because its an open diary and not a fucking story, and so I will type the same way that I speak. Which is apparently both choppy, and run-on. Yay.

Speaking of yay! RestoreDoll.com is having a sale till the end of the month — or, more accurately, existing customers were sent a code, good for 10% off till the end of the month — so, I got the Five Large Format Skein Special. *does a little jig* As I understand it, one large skein is roughly equivalent to 2 normals, when used on smaller dolls (they were technically designed for larger, American Girl-type dolls). So, the 5-large special, is kind of like getting the 10-normal special, for $2 cheaper.

I know, real hard choice, right? So, I got hair for my Drow, and then a bunch of colors for my attempts at custom Jems: azure for Aja, sapphire for Stormer, a really pretty green that isn’t really like her hair at all but I plan to use for Pizzazz anyway, and a custom pink blend that I hope will turn out very Jem-like, indeed.

I know, I know, I’m awful, I haven’t even gotten around to the styling and make-up for Shana and Kimber. I’m great at starting projects, and then they just stall indefinitely. But honestly, if I have to boil a pot of water to set the hair, anyway…I’d really rather get as many done at once as I can. Which admittedly, doesn’t mean they’ll actually get done. It just means I have a legitimate reason for procrastinating.
