I kind of want to see The Cat Returns (Neko No Ongaeshi), which is extrememly bizarre for me because, as I have mentioned, I really hate Studio Ghibli. Loathe. They consistently turn out highly overrated gunk with character designs that remind me of bile.

However. Different director than their most popular crap, and for once, the characters — or, at least, the main character — isn’t too horribly flat and blech and looking like the last four main characters. Also, they’ve never been too bad at animals (or, at least, animals actually found in nature) and a large portion of the cast would seem to be talking cats, so I may actually be able to look at the screen for more than five minutes without my vision clouding over.

And, y’know, really, I just like the idea of it. It could turn out to be highly overrated crap once again, but I’m assuming since no one’s made a huge fuss over it, its not. And even if it is, at least I won’t be disappointed and sitting there trying to figure out what the fucking big deal was. Some days, that’s really the best you can hope for.
