Watched Planet of the Apes with my mom. Spent large portions of it peeking out from behind JuJu Bear. I shocked myself when I made protesting noises over a chimp being flung across a room. o.O; And y’know, Mark Wahlberg is a much better actor than I expected. I’m not sure if he’s all that good, just…better than expected. It was a fairly cool film, all around. The senator ape with the bloated orangutan head still creeps me the fuck out, tho. Ironically, he was harmless, and had a fairly small part….

I fell down yesterday. Still feeling really cool about that. One minute I was fine, the next I’m standing on my outer ankle instead of my foot, and then I’m down, and whacking my leg in several spots as I go, as well as catching my underarm on the corner of a box. I came very close to having my skull make friends with the door jamb, and if I knew which of my chosen pantheon watched over the accident-prone I would be sending them offerings as we speak. As I’m rather clueless, I’ll just say a general ‘thank you’ to the gods, and call it a day.

sounds like the jesus and mary chain, “head on”
