You know you’re doing well when you find yourself deleting posts just because you can’t deal with the idea of your weepy, psycho self.

Y’know, I didn’t really care when Ashlee Simpson got her nose job (I think she looks cute with both noses). And I never really understood the criticism that it somehow made her look more like Jessica (because…really, have you SEEN Jessica’s profile? She does not have the perfect little slope that Ashlee paid for, she has a smaller version of Ashlee’s original hook).

But this new photoshoot makes me sad, because apparently she stopped being adorable and flawed and goofy, and turned into Citrus Princess Barbie.

And, hey, randomly…why is Suri Cruise Asian?

VOTE FOR DAVID!

Because not only is he eye-candy with a delicious voice, but he has talent coming out the yin-yang. *nods*

“As public figures, we should allow our pictures to be taken. If we crash our cars when we’re drunk, it serves us right. People should scold us,” the 52-year-old actor said. “But for a girl to be photographed when she’s in a changing room, such a private place, is despicable behavior.”

Jackie Chan is my hero.

Having listened to the preview, I think that I will not be pre-ordering FSLS. I’m thinking I’ll get it someplace cheap. Or used. Or both.

Just. Eh. Not feeling it. But needs must support my boys, so.

Am tired, and kind of hungry. I think that I will make my bed, and have a soda and some pb crackers, and play until I have digested enough to sleep. Alright. Sounds like a plan.

I’m debating with myself whether to pre-order FSLS. I have very good feelings about Sony Music, when I pre-ordered Cheyenne’s album, it actually arrived before its official release date.

I have mixed feelings about FSLS, is the thing. I downloaded a preview, but I have yet to actually listen to it. Possibly because I also have mixed feelings about Justin, and always have. He’s always been overrated, and lowering his voice was risky and foolish — although, really, no more so than a certain other singer changing the shape of her nose. The filtering on “SexyBack” also as me worried about the rest of the album.

But then, I remeber being very worried about his first album, too, and not only did it end up better than expected, but I actually wound up eventually liking LILY. But I didn’t pre-order that one. I did pre-order JC’s first, though, which also had a worrisome first single and a much better rest-of-album.

All of which still leaves me undecided, and I guess I should just shut up and listen to the preview already so I can make up my stinking mind.

Had a movie day with maternal unit yesterday. We watched “Silent Hill” and “V for Vendetta.”

“Silent Hill” wasn’t bad, it wasn’t as creepy or disturbing as I was expecting, although it certainly had its moments. Most of the changes made a certain amount of sense, given the constraints of time and the desire for appeal beyond the game fanbase. Having it rain ashes from an underground fire instead of White Claudia was a hell of a lot easier to explain, and they streamlined the “wtf happened here?” plot, which. Probably the wisest thing to do. But you ended up left with questions like, what was Dark Alessa? Was she some kind of vengeance demon? Simply the form chosen by the hand of god to deliver his judgement? Or was Christabella actually right and Alessa was the spawn of the devil, and that was her evil side made manifest? I’m kind of leaning towards either the first or last, given how things turned out. The ending was unexpectedly heartbreaking.

“V” on the other hand, I really really enjoyed, and find myself liking more each time I see it (yesterday being my second time). The “specials” included on the disc — all one of them — were pretty unspecial. It felt like lots of footage of everyone they could find saying roughly the same thing, over and over. But there was the pleasant surprise of Hugo Weaving in his skivvies, so it wasn’t all bad.

All in all, it was a pretty nice way to spend a Saturday, and I wouldn’t mind making a habit of it.

I need to eat and wash my hair. Or wash my hair and eat. Either way, needs must be done.

So instead I’m sitting here reading old SH chats and thinking about the Eddie Izzard DVD that arrived from Netflix yesterday. I’m also trying not to think about the sale at RestoreDoll.com. I do need to buy hair for Sparkle, eventually, and there’s certainly colors that I really really want to see in person, and the 10 skein special is definitely a great way to do that, and oh, they have a couple new colors, one of which I really really like for Pizazz, and…you can maybe see why I’m trying not to think about it, yes? It mostly just amounts to talking myself into buying stuff that I don’t have money for.

The other day I took Christina’s new RS cover, and I put in a frame with a matte, and oh it looks so cool. I keep wanting to do more, but I can’t really think of other magazine covers that I really like enough to frame.

I love it when I get spam that tries to disguise itself as failed outgoing mail. I email precisely one person from that particular addie, too, so its possily the most pathetic spam I get. (As opposed to non-pathetic spam? Which…does not exist. Okay, then.)

Man, Yahoo’s been complete shit since they redid their homepage. I don’t actually know how redesigning a different part of their site has led to problems with Yahoo mail, but they started at the exact same time, so I’m not sure what else it could be. And if that’s not enough, the new homepage is ugly and confusing. Way to ruin a good thing, Yahoo.

I. I don’t even know, man. The only thing I remember was that stupid black bar picture and “SexyBack” playing way too loudly, AND THERE WAS NO OFF BUTTON OMGMAKEITSTOP.
