DUDE. The finale to Cleopatra 2525 is like…weh? Hello, mindfuck, how are you, wasn’t expecting to see you here.
Honestly, I was expecting, like, “the girls finally meet Voice, Hel orgasms on spot.” What do I get? “Voice is actually kind of evil, while Creegan is in fact just pessimistic and C-R-A-Z-Y.” I. This is not what I signed on for. This is supposed to be my cheesy, sci-fi action bubblegum show. This is not Neon Genesis Evangelion, for fuck’s sake.
And what the hell is with suddenly tossing around that Creegan is not actually human? But..is, but he’s really really not? And they don’t actually explain what he is, just give it a name, and act like the whole show has been about it? Which…no. No, it has not. Writers, please, may we get some?
Although, I do love that the Baileys are not actually aliens and never were and Creegan is apparently the only person alive who actually KNEW. And named for his real name? Fabulous. He is exactly the type to do that. Except. If his revelations in the final episode were actually to be believed…then none of the Creegan/Voice history they kept giving signs of during the rest of the series makes any sense at all.
I. I need to just kidnap the Raimi brothers and have them explain it to me.
